We, Fakey Cakey, are owned by Fakey Cakey Ltd and operated under licence by Tokyo Diner Ltd.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect information about you during the checkout process when you buy something from us.
While you visit our site, we’ll track:
- Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
- Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
- Delivery address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate the cost of delivery before you place an order, and send you the order.
When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, delivery address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
- Send you information about your account and order
- Respond to your requests (including any refunds or complaints)
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Set up your account with us
- Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
- Improve the goods and services we offer
- Send you emails about new products and other updates. Whenever we send you such information, we will always include an “UNSUBSCRIBE” button so that you can easily opt out.
If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it. This may include your name, email address and billing and delivery addresses, etc. We may be legally required to keep certain information. For example, we are required to keep tax and accounting information for at least 5 years after the 31 January submission deadline of the relevant tax year
We will also store comments or reviews, if visitors choose to leave them. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
You should avoid uploading any images, videos or other media to this website with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) – otherwise visitors to the website may be able to download and extract any personal information (such as time, date and location) that is embedded in your media.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
We also use cookies to keep track of any basket contents while you’re shopping on our site.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who on our team has access
Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Duty Managers can access:
- Order information such as what you have bought from us, when you bought it and where it should be sent
- Customer information such as your name, email address, and billing and delivery information.
Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.
What we share with others
We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and online services to you.
We use Stripe to process our payments. Their privacy policy can be seen at: https://stripe.com/gb/privacy.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, have made any purchases, or have left comments, etc., you can request a copy of any data you have provided to us.
You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service called Gravatar. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
Our store uses Google Analytics to help us learn about who visits our site and what pages are being looked at.
Security
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption.
Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage can ever be 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
